The Claude Essentials

The half day that turns Claude from something you've opened twice into the first thing you reach for

What you'll gain

A setup that actually sticks

Projects, context and instructions, so you stop re-explaining yourself in every new chat.

Your own documents, useful

Upload the real thing and get answers you can trace back to the page they came from.

A reliable read on when it's wrong

The two places Claude will mislead you, and what to never paste in the first place.

Jobs that keep paying you back

Three of your own repeat tasks, packaged up to rerun next week and the week after.

How it sticks

A workshop designed for lasting impact

  1. Discover

You see the actual gap - not clever prompting, but giving Claude your context and your own material to work on.

  2. Build

Set up around your own work, and running on it before the session is half over.

  3. Trust

The two places Claude will mislead you, caught in seconds - so using it well and using it safely become one habit.

  4. Compound

Three of your own jobs, packaged up to rerun next week, without starting from a blank chat.

About this session

The problem was never the prompt. It was the setup

Most people’s experience of Claude is roughly the same. You opened it, asked it something, got an answer that was fine, and closed the tab. Perhaps you did that three or four times. Somewhere in the back of your mind is a suspicion that other people are getting far more out of this than you are, and that you’ve missed the bit where it was explained.

You haven’t missed anything, because it mostly isn’t explained. The gap isn’t clever prompting, and it certainly isn’t a list of magic phrases to paste in. It’s that nobody has shown you how to give Claude your context - what you do, who you do it for, what a good version of this task looks like - or how to hand it your own documents and data instead of typing everything out again. Without that it’s a competent stranger. With it, it’s someone who has read everything you’ve ever written and never gets bored of the boring parts.

That’s what an afternoon is for. We start from an empty account, work on the material you bring rather than a demo file, and don’t move on from a block until the thing we just built is running on your screen. You’ll spend far more of the session typing than watching. We also spend a proper block on where Claude is unreliable and what you should never paste into it, because being useful and being careful are the same skill here.

It’s deliberately small, too. You’ll be able to say “that won’t work for my job because-” and get a real answer, which is the whole reason to do this live instead of watching a video at 1.5×.

This is for you if…

  • You've opened Claude a few times and suspect you're missing most of it
  • You work with documents, data or writing in some form - any role
  • You've got real work you'd like to get finished
  • You'd rather build one thing properly than watch ten things demoed

Probably not, if…

  • You already use Claude daily and have it set up around your work
  • You want a talk about where AI is heading rather than hands-on work
  • You can't bring any of your own material on the day
  • You need something engineering-focused - that's our Claude Code workshops

What happens next

  1. Your ticket arrives in your inbox

It has your joining details, your receipt and a calendar invite, ready to add straight away.

  2. You get a bespoke setup guide

Everything installed and ready before the day, so no session time is lost to downloads. You and your fellow students start straight on real work.

  3. The workshop itself

Our instructors show you how to use Claude, drawn from their own experience in industry. Then you do the real work, and leave with workflows you can use the very next morning.

Questions people actually ask

No. There's no code in this session at all. If you can use a browser and a shared doc, you can build everything we cover.

No - that's who the session is for. We start from an empty account. If you've been using it daily for a year you'll find the first hour slow, and one of the role-specific workshops will suit you better.

If you're new to Claude, yes - this is the foundation the others build on. If you already have Claude set up around your work, skip straight to the one that matches your job.

Not much, and that's rather the point. Everything we build runs on documents, data and writing, which is most desk jobs. You bring your own material, so the session shapes itself around whatever you actually do.

There's a block on exactly this. What's fine to paste, what isn't, how to strip the sensitive parts and still get useful work done, and what to do when your answer is "I'm not sure" - which is the honest answer more often than people admit.

Yes - a Pro plan covers everything we build. On the free plan you can follow along, but you'll hit usage limits partway through the documents block, which is the worst possible moment.

A laptop, a Claude account, and one real piece of work you'd like to get further along - a document, a spreadsheet, or the task you put off every week. That last one matters most: it's the difference between leaving with notes and leaving with it done.

Yes, and this is the one where it makes the most difference - a team that leaves with the same setup and the same habits is a very different thing from one person who went on a course. Choose how many seats you need at checkout; everyone gets their own setup and their own templates.

Capped at 24, and we don't stretch it. Small enough that you can ask about your own work and actually get to it before the end.

Bring the job you've been putting off since March

Three hours, a small group, and your own work on the screen. Change your mind? Cancel up to 21 days before and we'll refund you in full.
