What we collect

What you type into a form. From the contact form: your name, work email, the team size you pick, and your message. From "tell me about future dates": your email address, and which course page you asked from.

Separately from anything you type, this site measures how it is used. That is the next section, and it is the part worth reading.

Cookies and measurement

Google Analytics, the Meta pixel and Microsoft Clarity all run here. They load with the page, before you have done anything, and we do not currently ask you first. Between them they record which pages you open, roughly where in the world you are, how you got here, and a few specific actions: opening the list of course dates, following a Sign In link, reaching a checkout, and completing a booking. Those last two carry the course, the date and the price, which is how we know which courses people actually buy rather than only browse.

They do it with cookies. _ga, plus a companion cookie named after this site's Google property, recognise your browser if you come back. _fbp does the same for Meta and is what connects an ad we paid for to a visit here. None of them holds your name or your email. Meta can match what it sees here to a Facebook or Instagram account it already has, which is the whole point of it from an advertiser's side, and worth knowing from yours.

Clarity does something different from the other two, and it is worth saying plainly: it records the visit. Where the pointer moves, what you scroll past, where you click, how long you stay, replayed afterwards as a video of the page. It is how we find the parts of a page that quietly do not work. What you type into a form is masked before it leaves your browser, so a recording shows that a field was filled in, not what went into it. Its cookies are_clck and _clsk.

Nothing you type into a form is sent to Google, Meta or Microsoft.

To refuse all of it: your browser settings can block or clear these cookies, most content blockers stop both tags outright, and Google publishes an opt-out add-on for Analytics. Nothing on this site behaves differently if you do. Until we ask you properly, that is how you say no.

One other thing gets stored in your browser and is not tracking: the currency you see. Pick one and it is remembered, so the site does not switch back on you. Pick none and your country is looked up once per visit to make a sensible guess. Neither leaves your browser.

Why we collect it

To answer you, or to tell you about dates if that is what you asked for. Those are the only reasons. An enquiry never puts you on the mailing list, and we do not sell or share your details for anyone else's marketing.

For an enquiry the lawful basis is legitimate interest: you asked us a question and expect a reply. For the mailing list it is consent, which you gave by entering your address and can withdraw at any time from the unsubscribe link on every email we send.

Measurement is here so we can see which courses people want, which pages do the work, and whether an advert led anywhere. The lawful basis for that is our legitimate interest in understanding and advertising our own business.

Who else processes it

• Resend delivers the enquiry to our inbox. Your message passes through their systems in order to become an email.
• Cloudflare hosts this site and runs the spam check on the form. The check sees your IP address so it can tell a person from a bot.
• Stripe takes the payment when you book a seat on a live course. The payment form runs on this page but belongs to them, so your card details go straight to Stripe and never reach us. They see your name, email address, billing address and card details, and your IP address, under their own privacy policy. We see everything except the card details.
• Podia holds the dates mailing list and sells the self-paced courses. If you ask us about future dates your email address is stored on their platform, and buying a self-paced course happens there too, under their own privacy policy rather than ours.
• Fontshare serves a webfont, which means your browser requests a file from them when a page loads.
• Google runs the analytics. It sees the pages you open and the actions described above, along with your approximate location and the browser you are using, under its own privacy policy rather than ours.
• Meta receives those same few actions for ad measurement, and can match them to an account you may hold with them, again under their own policy.
• Microsoft runs Clarity, the recording described above. It is stored on their systems and we watch it back there, under their policy rather than ours.

How long we keep it

Enquiries stay in our email for as long as the conversation is useful and are deleted when it is not. We do not keep a separate database of people who have contacted us. An address on the dates mailing list stays there until you unsubscribe, which also removes it.

Analytics, advertising and recording data sit with Google, Meta and Microsoft, on their systems and under their retention periods. Clarity keeps a recording for 30 days and then deletes it. We hold no copy of any of it, and cannot look you up in any of them.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or object to us holding it at all. Emailhello@atlaslearn.io and we will sort it out. If you are not happy with how we have handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.

Changes

If what we collect changes, this page changes with it, and the date at the top will tell you when.
